About
Cynthia and her god-dog, Ricky.
Cynthia Cohen is a television writer/producer who loves new cars and the whole car-buying and leasing process. It’s the only place she feels comfortable being confrontational, because, no matter what they tell you or how nice they are, car dealerships are out to, well, screw you — if they can.
Since we don’t want that to happen, that’s where Cynthia’s services come in. First off, the salesman will tell you anything you want to hear. His job is to take you on a test drive and, ultimately, no matter what, get you into the showroom so he can bring out the big guns.
That would be the Sales Manager. They’re the ones who can make you have a wonderful - or lousy - day.
Cynthia loves when the Sales Manager tells her “We’re not making any profit on this car.” That’s their go-to line and a bunch of bull, because there’s no way in hell they’re going to sell a car to you and not cash in. So she likes to tell them to “go make a profit on the next car” — and “sell me this one at the price and terms I want”. And speaking of go-to lines, Cynthia’s favorite is: “I/We don’t have to buy a car today.”
For the past 25 years, Cynthia has been helping people (mostly herself, her family and friends) buy or lease cars during her free time. She’s negotiated deals on almost every major brand, from Toyota to Tesla. (Not-so-fun-fact: there’s no negotiating on Teslas, it’s a fixed price — but Cynthia can still find a steal on one.)
She can even calculate a lease payment. And if you’ve ever seen a car lease contract, you know how complicated that calculation can be.
Bottom line, Cynthia gets a dopamine rush during the entire car-buying process.
Her rush is your gain.
Take advantage of her car negotiating and purchasing skills and let her help you buy the car of your dreams, your “I just need a car that won’t break down” car, your commuter car, or the car you thought you’d never drive because your parents drove one.
